Once More with Hobbits

There is such a thing as trying too hard. Re-working the lyrics to the musical episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer to make them about The Lord of the Rings is a good example. Once More with Hobbits strains so hard to add another geeky layer to an already-geeky subject that it folds in on itself and reaches levels of cheesiness you need quantum mechanics to accomplish.

Of course I mean that in a good way. And let's just forget that time I wrote a version of Tenacious D's song Dio about Bilbo Baggins, shall we?

I would post it, but there is one line I can't quite get right. My perfectionist nature prevents me from sharing.

Ok... mostly I'm just embarassed I put time into something like that. Heh.

Nice song Pete. Maybe we should do the whole album?

Sweet Lord no. I already spent half the day yesterday going "Minas Minas Minas Minas Minas Minas Minas! Tirith Tirith Tirith Tirith Tirith Tirith Tirith!"

(To the tune of City Hall, of course. Now that I think about it, that would be a good Denethor/Faramir duet...)
