Do you recommend I go to see this in the theater, or wait for it to come out on DVD? I just watched the 2nd Matrix last week, I wanted to see it while it was still in theaters but we were just too busy at the time. But after seeing it, I was just as glad I hadn't made the time--it was OK, but not mind-blowing to me (though what I would *like* to blow out of my mind are the gooey sex scenes with Neo and Trinity. IckIckIck).

If you want to see the cool special effects, go ahead check it out in the theatres. If you are not concerned with that, I personally think a DVD rental will suffice. I did not really care too much for this entry in the trilogy; the original Matrix film and The Animatrix stand alone fine as really great.

The Battle for Zion demands a massive screen and powerful sound system, more so than any of the wire-fu scenes in the first two films. Unless you can supply those things at home, I'd have to recommend the theater experience for that part of the movie alone.

Unless you really want to know what happens to end the trilogy, I don't think catching it on dvd or cable would be a huge loss. If you're curious to know what happens and don't want to wait, you can have a good time seeing it at the theater.

yeah, i just saw it and thought it was great, despite the very confusing ending, and the fact that it didn't tie up all the questions noted in the MATRIX RELOADED. Honestly, The Matrix itself was a good movie, and shouldn't of been noted by uneeded sequals.
