I know I'm late to the game and all that, but I gave in and made a Friendster account with my 'xkot at xkot dot net' email address (does doing it that way even help prevent spam? Seems the bots could be coded to figure it out) in case anyone would like to add me.
I'm not really sure what the point of friendster is, but maybe that's because I don't have any friends listed there yet. Something tells me there may be no point, however, which would not be entirely unexpected.

I don't like it -- it's a little unsettling to find out that the guy you dated once or twice in college is connected to you through an unknown friend of a friend, etc.
I find it somewhat amusing, but not terribly useful either. I'll be your friendster!
