And the voters cheer "four more years!" in my ego-crazed imagination

Today marks four years of weblogging for yours truly. I actually had various blog-ish sites around as far back as '95, but September 6, 1999 was the day I launched a site using the now-standard weblog format. You can go here and scroll all the way down to read the entries from my first day (all nine of them - I had a lot of spare time back then).

I was thinking about shutting the weblog portion of my site down today and making some kind of term limit joke, but even though I'm a bit less enamored of weblogs I still enjoy posting random stuff now and then. Otherwise there'd be no way for me to inflict things like this hypnotic badger flash movie on a willing audience. I started with the Hello Kitty vibrator on my first day, and I'm proud to say that my content standards are still as low as ever.

Four years is a long damn time for a weblog, man. To have weathered the fire for four years, while countless other sites have come and gone...there's something that hints to the lively, engaging mind you've got here. Keep it up, cowboy.

I'm glad you are sticking it out for the moment. No term limits -- you've been appointed Grand Mogel Xkot for Life. (But you are eligible for parol if you ask nicely)

Unfortunately I find myself a willing audience to the hypnotic badgers! Def something to enjoy with my cup of morning smack. Congrats on 4 years. I think 4 years ago I didn't even know what the internet was. :)
