I've felt like I should write a review of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, but fortunately Mr. B2 said exactly what I felt much more eloquently than I could. I had fun watching it, but when he says "I hated LXG because it wasn't entirely awful" that sums up my reaction quite well. It could have been so much more than a mildly entertaining but forgettable flick.
If you want to spend your movie money much more wisely, go see Pirates of the Caribbean instead. It was pure fun and Johnny Depp's performance is his best in many years.

LXG had tremendous potential to be a faboo movie, but turned out just mediocre. PotC had tremendous potential to be just mediocre, but it turned out to be faboo.
