For my first post after my longest blogging break in the past few years I should probably post something momentous, but instead I'd like to tell you about Tenacious D's Masterworks:
Comedy/rock duo Tenacious D has compiled its short-lived HBO series, music videos, short films, a 90-minute concert from London's Brixton Academy and a tour documentary for the double-DVD set "The Masterworks." The project will be released Sept. 9 by Epic.
I've been wanting the HBO series on DVD for years. Dreams do come true! It's just a bummer that this dream came true instead of the one about my fortress in the North Carolina mountains with gun turrets, high speed internet access, and an Olympic-sized swimming pool. Still, a Tenacious D video set is a close second.
