More catching up (aka I like bulleted lists)
I think Google Labs should develop a feature that allows you to automatically exclude search results from free webhosting services like Geocities and Tripod. Content on those systems is often outdated and useless, so the end result is a bunch of pop-ups instead of usable search results. Better still, Google could have an option to filter out results from any page with code for multiple pop-ups in it.
I spoke to the coordinator of the study I mentioned in my previous post earlier today. I explained my situation and we both agreed that since my condition is on the upswing right now it would be a bad choice to disrupt that with an experimental treatment. They put me on their list for future medical trials. I can also call them up and get back into the program if I change my mind or if my condition stops improving in the next few weeks.
This comic strip sums up my entire existence. (via Susan)
If all goes according to plan I will be seeing Mofro tomorrow night. I haven't been this excited to see a band live in a long time. If you haven't heard them yet and have RealPlayer, go get your blues funk thing on.
I think this guy might live upstairs from me. It would be really funny if someone from a website I've randomly read before lived ten feet overhead.
I'm one of those dorks who still watch Survivor. The current gang of Heathers in the female tribe amuses me to no end. I knew this was going to be a funny season when in the first episode they decided it was more important to boil their panties in the cooking pot than to build a shelter.
Have you felt your balls today?

I've dined on monkey in the Phillipines. it doesn't tatse like chicken
An old friend of mine from Louisville lives in NYC now. She says she sees bazima at least twice a month (on the street, at the grocery). She's never actually gone uo and introduced herself, though; she just knows who she is from reading the blogs of people (like you and me). It's kinda weird.
I disagree, more often than not Tripod sites turn up a wealth of knowledge, even if it hasn't been updated in a while.
Also, would Tripod be in any position to take legal action?
Heh... it really seems like Bazima has that indefinable star quality.
Est, I doubt there would be any legal action Tripod could take. Google is free to list what sites the choose and frequently unlist, lower rank, and filter out domains for a number of reasons. For example, I challenge you to find an AOL user home page in Google. I'm not even suggesting unlisiting these sites. My request is simply a checkbox option to omit results either from free webhosts or ones with code for multiple popup windows. The essential idea is similar to their "safe search" option that screens out porn - the only difference is the screening criteria.
