Is it June 21, 2003 yet?

Dumbledore lowered his hands and surveyed Harry through his half-moon glasses.'It is time,' he said 'for me to tell you what I should have told you five years ago, Harry. Please sit down. I am going to tell you everything.'

Press release on Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

I hear she made this one like really long, like epic length almost.

I would have probably read the first few if it hadn't been for the cheesy cover art that made me feel like I was a five year old picking up the book.

I'm looking forward to this book. I have been since I finished the last one however long ago that was.

But this hype is just plain getting out of control.

Dabloone, give them a chance. They're pretty good, and they get much more mature by books 3 and 4.

Sakamuyo... it's only going to get worse :)

Dabloone, in England they published a special "adult edition" just for readers like you who were embarrassed to be seen with the regular Harry Potter. The adult edition has classier pictures and lettering on the covers. See

Those are pretty nice. My option was just to remove the dustjacket while I read them (which of course I do anyway), but I guess if you get the paperbacks that's not an option. On the plus side, the hardcover editions aren't much more than the paperbacks if you get them at a discount store like wal-mart or target.

My response to the juvenile pictures on the paperback version was to just read it and not care what anyone else thought. They were good books.

I have an idea about what it is that Dumbledoor is going to tell Harry. It involves the death of Harry's parents, but I don't want to spoil anything for those of you who haven't read it.

Suffice it to say that I think it has something to do with Harry, Voldemort, and the Imperius curse.

That should be vague enough for the non-readers, but you guys probably understand what I am getting at.

Yeah, the whole not caring what people think part is a good option. I really don't care what the sales clerk at wal-mart thinks I'm reading. Actually one of them started gushing to me about how much she liked them too, which was funny because I was at the self-checkout lane so she had to come over and make a real effort.

Dumbledore lowered his hands and surveyed Harry through his half-moon glasses.'It is time,' he said 'for me to tell you what I should have told you five years ago, Harry. Please sit down. I am going to tell you everything...I am you father!"

Harry screamed into the night....

There, thats what happens.

:-D

Hm... then is McGonagall his mammy?

Posted by: Xkot on January 17, 2003 04:05 PM - link

that issoooooooo not true! it just ends after "I'm going to tell you everything"
but, i think i know what he's going ot tell him. In the second book Harry askes why Vodemrt wants to kill him, and Dumbledore says that he'll tell him when he gets older. Well, Harry's older now, and i think what Dumbledore is going to tell him, is that he's the heir of Gryffindor, and the Dumbeldore is his great-great- grandfather or sumthing like that. That woudl explain why You-Know-Who woudl want to kill him. Just think. All the clues add up. His birthday is under the agrastostical(sp) sign of Leo, the Lion(Gryffindor's animal)When Harry's Parents were alivve, they all lived in GODRIC'S Hollow(Godric is Gryffindor's first name), When Harry got his wand, red and gold sparks flew out of his wand(gryffindors colors)and, when harry pulled hte sword forom the sorting hat, Dumbeldore said that only a "TRUE" Gryffindore coudl do that. See, it all adds up!

I am looking forward to this soooo much! I'll be one of those people queueing up on the 20th (which is a Friday) so I can buy one when it's midnight. Then I'll spend all weekend shunning the world so I can read it before evil work demands my attention once again. I may even take that Monday off. That's how much of a geek I am. And because I can't resist it, here's another plug. Come play our RP MUSH!

Hey, that reminds me of Star Wars. Remember? Darth Vader said that he was Luke's father?!

Make you think, don't it?
