Getting in touch with my inner redneck pt 3

The tax return money is in my bank account now. I had decided to keep my current car and get it repaired, but there's a voice in my head saying "You still owe a shitload on that thing and you're making fat payments. Your extended warranty runs out in a month and who knows if it will have trouble again later? Get it all fixed and trade it in now while you have a chance!"

If I make it to Monday without a giving in to my newfound lust for a Dodge Ram I will be proud. I was leaning toward a Ranger or Tacoma until I compared the size/price ratio of them to the Ram. I still haven't made up my mind to buy one, but I definitely want to take one for a test drive.

Some folks have asked why I'm looking at trucks, and it's simple. I am a big guy. The kind of guy who hits his head on ceiling fans and doorways. A regular car makes me feel cramped. I have a sport utility now, but the roomier ones are too expensive and excessive for a single guy. Hence my desire for a truck. Assuming I don't get a quad cab and all the options, they're cheaper than an SUV. They're big and I don't have to crouch down or do yoga to get in. Dear lord, have you ever seen me try to get into a honda civic?

that ram-truck is excellent. very hot. you would be hot driving it. consider me the buy-the-car devil sitting on one shoulder. don't listen to that angelic idiot on the other side saying, be conservative. go for it. get that warranty.

but get that $20 out of the door first, eh?

KD, one day I'll have to cut you a check for all the free self-esteem nuggets you send my way =)

You definitely need new wheels "Bubba". So be kind to yourself and get it.

Besides, how cool would it be to drive the Mayor of Truckville?

That's why I ride a motorcycle. No doors to squeeze through. No ceiling to hit my head on. Great fuel economy.

I'd really like having a motorcycle but only if I could have one with a sidecar. I think sidecars are really cool for some reason. Plus when you have to go to the store you can put the stuff you're brining home in them.

Xkot, don't laugh, but I would recommend you try one of the dealers out in Green Cove Springs. It's a long way to drive, but the prices are better and the service department is very good.
